When one imagines the breeding grounds for punk rock the last place that comes to mind is South-Eastern Missouri. Small towns have a way of suffocating culture from it’s residents, it’s hard enough to find a movie theatre much less a decent record store. It was the back room of a tractor garage where the members of Hot Atomics, Eric/Bass, Adam/guitar, Jake/Drums, Ronnie/Vocals, held their first practice in 2003.
It was friendship and a mutual love of music that brought them together. Named after an obscure Naked Raygun song they wear their Midwest influences on their sleeves.
