We now have the Sink the Bismark full length streaming in its entirety on our new Bandcamp page, I Hate Punk Rock Bandcamp! We are getting closer to our goal of 300 paid downloads, so please keep them going!

We are finally sending off two new masters this week! We are sending off the Direct Hit! / Hold Tight! Split 12” and the Jetty Boys / Boys Club split 7”. Hopefully we will have these ready to go in early 2012.

Short and sweet and back to work...

Drinking in Louisiana and heading to Gainseville!

10/26/11

I'm typing this at The Boxer and The Barrel in Houma, Louisiana on my way to Gainseville with Bent Left and Elway. I've been in Louisiana for five minutes and have already met five of the nicest people ever!

It's been way too long since I've updated this page, but we have so much going on... First, please keep those downloads going for Sink the Bismark – Sine Metu! We are getting so much closer to our goal of 300 downloads! We will have them for sale at The Fest this weekend too with a limited screen printed cover, download code and sticker. Still only $4!!

The Fest Flea Market is only on Friday this year, so make sure you stop by our table while you are waiting in line to get your wrist bands for the weekend. We brought all of our stuff and a bunch of distro stuff!

We have a new sampler out just in time for Fest this year too! It is a digital sampler that you can all download here:

IHPR Sampler

23 songs, with brand new previously unreleased tracks from, The Haddonfields, Direct Hit!, Jetty Boys, Black for a Second, ((Thorlock)), Ultraman, Boys Club, Bent Left and Half Raptor!

Did you see that we have a brand new track from Direct Hit!? Do you know why??? It's because we have a brand new split 12” coming out with them and Hold Tight! Boom! I know all of you loved Domesplitter and Can't Take This Away, but this record shows a different side of both of these bands. These guys are angry on this record and they are showing it... We are anticipating a January release for this. The cover art is posted below.

Did you also notice that we have a brand new track from Ultraman? I am so excited to be able to release a song by these guys. They have been playing since the mid 1980's, released records on New Red Archives and played shows and toured with some of my favorite bands ever. This is the first new song they have released in at least 10 years and it's just as awesome as I could have imagined! I think they may have a few more new songs recorded too. I hope we get to hear them sometime soon...

We have a ton of new releases and restocks in the store now. The release that I am the most excited to finally get in is Ratasucia – White Noise Pollution. If you aren't familiar with this band yet, they feature Dan and Chris from the Honor System! If you're familiar with Dan Hanaway's music you'd be expecting a Jawbox/Jawbreaker kind of sound. But what you get is an explosion of intensity. Similar to QOTSA meets the Misfits mixed with David Bowie, Hot Snakes and The Stooges. One of my favorite records of the year. Pick this up and an Honor System record if you don't have them already.

We have a couple of pretty awesome shows coming up.

On October 1st, Nothington and Cobra Skulls are coming to town and playing with Sink the Bismark and our friends Better Days.

Then on Saturday October 15th, former BYO Records band and current Fat Sandwich Records band PEZZ will be playing at The Heavy Anchor here in St. Louis with The Angel Sluts, Sink the Bismark and The Haddonfields. And the next Saturday, October 22nd, we will be traveling down to Memphis to play the same show (minus the Angel Sluts) at The Buccaneer! Should be a fantastic couple of Saturdays!
